Jon L. Oeler, 84, of Loyalsock Township, passed away suddenly September 5, 2021 at Embassy of Loyalsock.
Born January 9, 1937 to the late John L. and Nellie (Carothers) Oeler.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Chukawan.
He was employed by the former Bethleham Steel and White Deer Golf Complex.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Connie (Thompson) Oeler; his children, Kathleen (James) Meckley of Montoursville; Deneen (Rick) Vaughn of Williamsport; and Jeff Oeler of Swickley; a sister, Cheryl Reeder of Williamsport; three brothers, Thomas (Evelyn) Oeler of Montoursville; Donald (Diane) Oeler of Nesbit; and Richard (Becky) Oeler of Montoursville; four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Abbie (Anthony), Christopher, and Avery; three great-grandchildren, Taje, Camden, and Theo.
He was preceded by in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Jay.
Jon enjoyed golfing, fishing, and family cookouts. He played in the 1948 Little League World Series, was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose, The American Leagen Post 1, and The Republican Club.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
