Earl Coleman Woolever, 93, of Eldred Township, died at Valley View Nursing Center on August 19, 2019.
He was born March 31, 1926, in Montoursville, a son of the late Charles Arthur and Mary (Ertel) Woolever.
Coleman was owner of the former Woolever Transfer and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, was a 50 year member and served on the board of directors for North Central Chapter of PA Motor Truck Association, and enjoyed hunting and playing golf.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his first wife, the former Hazel M. Crider, and two brothers, Donald and Emerson.
Surviving is his second wife, the former Thelma G. Halvorsen; two sons, Arthur R. (Karen) Woolever and Scott C. Woolever, both of Montoursville; two step daughters, Mary Jane (Randy) Heilman and Ruth (Milton) Fish, both of Collegedale, Tennessee; a sister, Mary Lou (Gerald) Freeman, of Falling Water, West Virginia; two grandchildren, Tyler (Tiffini) and Caleb (Elizabeth); two great-grandchildren, Colton and Kinley; four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 22, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with Pastor Anthony Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
