Gene G. Eichenlaub, 82, of Upper Fairfield Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna.
He was born September 9, 1937, in Moreland Township, a son of the late Isaac and Sylvia (Robbins) Eichenlaub.
Gene retired from Muncy State Correctional Institution as a plant mechanic. He was a member of Lycoming Valley Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting, farming, and singing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George.
Surviving are his wife, whom they would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on December 1, the former Lydia Pauline Kile; children, Tammy L. (Lee) Wertz, of Bellefonte, Melinda J. Eichenlaub, Todd K. (Sue) Eichenlaub, and Berry G. Eichenlaub, all of Montoursville; three sisters, Helen (Dale) Kile, Imogene Swisher, and Evelyn Whitmoyer, all of Unityville; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, at Lycoming Valley Baptist Church , 4980 Lycoming Mall Road, Montoursville, with Pastor Jack J. Delaney officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., in the church.
