As a young adult, Gerry asked Jesus Christ to be her Savior. She lived a consistent Christian life never wavering from her faith in Him. She was a member of Lycoming Valley Bapist Church since 1982 and took an active part in the church as long as she was able. She thoroughly enjoyed singing soprano in the choir and participated in many Easter and Christmas cantatas.
She had a great passion for teaching children the Bible, and teach she did. She taught Sunday school, junior church, vacation bible school, and for many years was a teacher of Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Clubs and their day camps. While living in Williamsport, she would board two city buses and travel to Montoursville (in all kinds of weather) to teach her weekly Good News Club.
Gerry’s celebration of life will begin with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on May 7, at Lycoming Valley Baptist Church. Her pastor, Jack Delaney will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 p.m. Interment will be in Montoursville Cemetery.
