Glen C. “Bud” Williams Jr., 82, of Montoursville, died September 16, 2019, at UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 9, 1937, in Williamsport, a son of the late Glen C. Sr. and E. Louise (Bennett) Williams.
Bud retired as account representative for Sam’s Club and had been manager of the former Antlers Country Club. He and his wife had owned and operated the former Wagon Wheel Motel and Restaurant, where they sponsored many teams. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Eugene Grafius American Legion Post No. 104. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, snowmobiling, and attending Penn State football games.
Surviving is his wife of 64 years, the former Marieva Egli; two daughters, Susan I. Williams, of Montoursville and Janet M. (Joe) Lecce, of Williamsport; a brother, Gary B. (Kathy) Williams, of Montoursville; six grandchildren, Cheryl (James) Kane, Stacey (Clifton) McCourt, Amanda (Nathan) Montgomery, Kyle Eshbach, Tayler Eshbach, and Joey Lecce; and six great-grandchildren, Riley, Makennah, Brayden, Elizabeth, Peyton, and Colton, all who knew him as “Pops”.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm Street, Montoursville, with Rev. David C. Smith officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
