Harry E. Bower, 86, of Montoursville, died May 26, 2019 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing.
Born in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Glenn and Ruth Keen Bower. Harry served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and worked as a project engineer at Sprout Waldren. He was a member of the Sure Shot Hunting Club, a life member of the Lycoming County Beagle Club, and enjoyed hunting and dirt track racing at Selingrove Speedway.
He is survived by his wife, Betty T. Bower; his children, Darrell K. Bower of Montoursville, Jeffrey L. (Judy Gowin) Bower of Montgomery, Thomas M. (Lynette) Bower, Scott C. (Shelly) Bower, and Lori B. Frahm, all of Montoursville; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. The viewing will be an hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Lycoming County Korean War Veterans Honor Guard.
