Irvin B. Fox, 83, of Montoursville, died Dec. 7, 2018, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Hughesville, a son of the late Arnold M. and Mary E. (McCarty) Fox.
Irvin retired as labor and safety compliance officer for PA Department of Highways, and was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a member of Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 40 et 8, and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and telling stories.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a sister, Louise Fox, and a brother, Arnold Fox, Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Margaret V. Van Horn; two sons, Andrew B. Fox (Joseph P. Terpolilli), of Watsontown, and Robert A. (Cecilia) Fox, of Bethlehem; a daughter, Karen L. Kohler, of Montoursville; two sisters, Mary H. Heverly, of Montoursville, and Deborah Mae (Butch) Stackhouse, of Hughesville; and four grandchildren, Emma G. Fox, Keira A. Kohler, Samuel B. Fox, and Cody J. Kohler.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., Montoursville, with Rev. David C. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
A viewing for family and friends will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
