Marion T. Renninger, 102, formerly of Hillsgrove, died November 8, 2019, at Manor Care South.
She was born August 20, 1917, in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Emilio and Emma (Giai) Tolomay.
Marion retired as a nurse in the maternity ward at the former Williamsport Hospital, and also was a nurse at the former GTE Sylvania and Litton Industries. She was a member of Hillsgrove United Methodist Church, Williamsport Hospital Nursing Alumni Association, Sullivan County Senior Citizens, Sullivan County Election Board, and helped with fire hall dinners. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, ceramics, quilting, traveling with friends, and being active.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Elmer Renninger; sisters, Goldie Misconis and Adelaide Tolomay; and brothers, Lawrence and Constantine Tolomay.
Surviving are her children, Stephen (Ann) Renninger, of Kennesaw, Georgia and Judith Funt, of Montoursville; a sister, Delmira “Dolly” Rogers; six grandchildren, Beth (Tommy) McGee, Susan (Kevin) Lefever, Kevin Funt, Andrew (Jaime) Funt, Kristen (Travis) Mills, and Joshua (Martianne) Renninger; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 12th, at Hillsgrove Union Church, with Pastor Linda J. Renninger officiating. A visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m., in the church. Burial will follow in Hillsgrove Cemetery.
