Patricia Ann (Ingram) Wheeland
Patricia “Patti” Ann Wheeland, 86, a resident of Williamsport and formerly of Montgomery, passed away on Oct. 22, 2018 at The Gatehouse.
She was born May 24, 1932, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Mark L. and Amy (Peterman) James.
Patti was the wife of the late Carl E. Wheeland.
She was a 1950 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She honorably served her country with the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955 as an aide-de camp to Gen. Carmichael at March Air Force Base, Riverside, California.
She worked as secretary of Clinton Township Board of Supervisors, Montgomery Area High School, and Bridon American Steel, Muncy.
Patti was a member of Clinton Baptist Church, in Montgomery, where she sang in the choir for many years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J. Richard James, Sr. and Elwyn James, and a daughter, Bronwyn Elizabeth Ingram.
Surviving are a daughter, Ami M. and husband, Dr. Charles M. Pagana, of Montgomery, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth A. and husband, Ralph W. Ford, of Watsontown.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Rev. David Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
