Russell L. Hall, 89, of Loyalsock Township, died Nov. 13, 2018 at the Gatehouse.
He was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Williamsport, a son of the late Rexford and Rhoda (Lee) Hall.
Russ was a Korean War veteran having served in the U.S. Army, retired from Your Building Center, and was a member of South Williamsport United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, of which he had three 300 games, fishing, and card playing.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a sister, Jean Morse; two brothers, Frances Hall and Larry Hall; and a granddaughter, Mary Jo Hall.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, the former Doris Mundrick; four sons, Dan (Patrice) Hall, of Hickory, North Carolina, Charles (Heather) Hall, of Hegins, Jonathan (Robin) Hall, of DuBoistown, and David (Peggy) Hall, of Williamsport; a daughter, Mary (John) Samar, of Montoursville; a sister, Beverly Irion, of Montoursville; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with Rev. Mark D. Brumbach officiating. Burial will follow in Barbours Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by Lycoming County Korean War Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
