Sharon D. Sterner, 61, of Pennsdale, died March 20, 2019, at her residence.
She was born July 2, 1957, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Adam Jr. and Viola (Wertman) Earnest.
Sharon worked for the Muncy School District in the cafeteria and also had worked at Shop Vac. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, was a graduate from Montoursville Area High School, and was active with Girl Scouts and soccer. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her father and daughter, Ellen Hinkal.
Surviving is her husband, Brian K. Sterner, of Pennsdale; her mother Viola Earnest, of Warrensville; two daughters, Amanda (Greg) Dangle, of Barbours, and Jamie Sterner, at home; four brothers, Robert (Audrey) Earnest, of Warrensville, Jeffrey (Sue) Earnest, of Cogan Station, Chad (Tina) Earnest, of Warrensville, and Adam (Jeanette) Earnest III, of Trout Run; a sister, Kathy Benevides, of Montoursville; and two grandchildren, Addison and Gavin Dangle.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
