Obituary

Andrew W. Johnson, 95, formally of Montoursville, died on April 19, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.

He was born on May 15, 1925, in Williamsport, son of the late Andrew G. and Lucy (Mattson) Johnson.

Andrew retired after 34 years from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of NARFE. He was a WWII U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran, the oldest member of Eugene Grafius American Legion Post 104, the VFW Post 7863 Duboistown and Lycoming County Korean War Veterans Honor Guard. Andrew was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, traveling, and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary J. Krezmer.

Surviving are a son, Dr. Gregory A. (Deborah) Johnson, of Williamsport; three daughters, Deborah J. (Walter) Padworski, of Mt. Laurel, NJ., Karen M. (Ralph) Temple, of Bloomsburg, and Teresa J. (Michael) Plumer, of Edgewood, MD.; two brothers, Robert E. Johnson, of Williamsport, and Charles A. (Linda) Johnson, of Nisbet; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, PA 17754 with Rev. Michael S. McCormick as officiant.

Following Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.

Burial will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or Post 104 American Legion, 1312 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754.

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
