Anona J. Frey, 55, of Cogan Station, died January 25, 2020 in a car accident on Pleasant Valley Road.
She was born April 23, 1964, in Blossburg, a daughter of the late Donald E. Frey and Phyllis Brion-Bateman.
Anona was self-employed operating a home cleaning service. She was a graduate of Montoursville Area High School and volunteered for over 15 years for both Challenger Baseball and Lycoming County Special Olympics. She spent many years taking in people that needed help and enjoyed puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Helm; a step sister, Diann Becker; a niece, Clela Helm; and a nephew, Chad Erb.
Surviving is a daughter, Teranie (John) Schell, of WIlliamsport; a brother, Eldon Frey, of Montoursville; two step brothers, Roy, Jr. (Diane) Bateman, of Harrisburg and Kevin (Tracy) Bateman, of Utah; a sister, Wilma (Ken) Horn, of Cogan Station; three grandchildren, Braeden, Emma, and Laura, of Williamsport; best friend, Holley Moyer and her children, Anthony and Robert Moyer, of Cogan Station; and step father, Roy Bateman, Sr.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, in Beech Flat Cemetery, Canton, PA.
