Arnold E. Springman, 90, formally of Montoursville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 8, 2021, at The Williamsport Home.
He was born on March 24, 1931, in Montoursville, son of the late G. Frederick and Bertha (Fry) Springman.
Arnold was the former owner-operator at Springman Building Supply, a member of Lycoming Valley Baptist Church where he was also a deacon, song leader and lay preacher. He also volunteered at Rose View Manor and The Williamsport Home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, David C. and Vaughn E.; daughter, Beverly Sims; and brother, Marvin.
Surviving is his loving wife of 70 years, the former Alice J. Bosch; two daughters, Linda M. (Larry) Bair, of Williamsport and Christine G. (Jason Hull) Hall, of Williamsport; two daughter-in-laws, Diane Springman Dunlap and Sachiko Springman; sister, Esther Schumberger, of Mechanicsburg; 17 grandchildren and 34 graet-grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at Lycoming Valley Baptist Church, 4980 Lycoming Mall Rd., Montoursville, PA 17754, with Rev. Timothy P. Snyder officiating.
Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
There will be a visitation Tuesday, at the church from 10-11:30 a.m.
Flowers will be accepted but the family prefers contributions be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
