David L. Seitzer, 86, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Muncy Place.
He was born on August 11,1934, in Williamsport, the son of the Leroy I. and Ruth A. (Casselberry) Seitzer.
He retired from Montoursville Area School District, served in the Korean War and was a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Montoursville. He enjoyed playing chess, gardening, and watching Penn State football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Susan C. Long; two sisters Eleanor Greevy and Madeline Rovenolt; and two brothers, Donald and Harold Seitzer.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gail B. (Moore) Seitzer. Before moving to a nursing home, they spent their married life in Montoursville.
Also surviving, is a daughter, Pamela D. Seitzer, of Montoursville; a son, David A. (Sherre) Seitzer, of Rio Rancho, NM; five grandchildren, Jennifer D. (Jonathan) Reyes, of Nesbit, Sarah R. (Brian) Fedorek, of Ashland, OR, Matthew D. Long, of Medford, OR, Lacee K. (Paul) Dackiewicz of Rio Rancho, NM, and Jared A. Seitzer, of Hercules, CA; 10 great-grandchildren, Brennan (Alayna) Reyes, of Pittsburgh, PA, Madeline and Kate Reyes, of Nesbit, Eva, Oliver, Everett, and Violet Fedorek, of Ashland, OR, and Emilee, Hudson and Logan Dackiewicz, of Rio Rancho, NM; and a son-in-law, William Long, of Medford, OR.
There will be a graveside service with military honors, Thursday, October 1, 11:00 AM, at Twin Hills Memorial Park.
All of the CDC guidelines regarding Covid restrictions will be followed, masks are required and social distancing must be practiced.
