Dennis M. Sullivan, 70, a life long resident of the Williamsport area, passed into eternity on June 27, 2021 at his home.
He was born on May 14, 1951, in Williamsport, son of the late Francis R. and Elizabeth (Graham) Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Elizabeth Sullivan.
Surviving is the love of his life and partner of 24 years, his wife, Pamela Wright; son, Chadd M. Sullivan, of Harrisburg; step-son, Evan M. Wright, of Danville; five sisters, Sharon Mostoller, Maeneen Klein, Kathleen (Casey) Steinbacher, Erin Ptak, and Kerry Cower; and a brother, Kevin Sullivan.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph School/Williamsport High School and the Williamsport Area Community College. He owned and operated an advertising agency and graphics studio before joining Little League Baseball International as Director of Communications and Media Relations. He later worked for MyTeam.com and AutoTrakk.
Denny was a graduate of the Leadership Lycoming Class of 1992. He was an early advocate of the internet as a communication tool. He designed and programed the first Little League website in 1994. In 1996, with a team of volunteers, he webcasted the Little League World Series live on the internet for the first time. In 1998, Denny was included in the International Publication Who’s Who of Information Technology.
Denny Sullivan was dedicated to volunteer community service, having served on the Board of the St. Joseph School Guild, the Leadership Lycoming Board of Trustees, The Lycoming Co Advanced Telecommunication and Information Technology Advisory Panel, the Board of Directors of North Central Sight services, the Go Mallory Golf Classic Organizing Committee, and he was an officer of the Young Men’s Republican Club Board of Governors.
He enjoyed mentoring young people starting out in business. Denny valued true friendship and a sense of humor above all else. He loved his children and animals and his favorite pass time was playing golf in the Theis League at White Deer Golf Club with his buddies.
In keeping with Denny’s wishes, there will be no services.
There will be a life celebration with sharing of memories on July 24, 2021, 2:00 p.m. with a time of fellowship to follow until 4:00 p.m. at the Young Men's Republican Club, 621 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
