Donald W. Jacopetti, 91, of South Williamsport PA passed away on November 4th with his wife of 52 years, son, daughter and daughter in law at his side.
Donald was born in the midst of the Great Depression on February 22,1930 and became the fifth and final boy of the family.
As the family persevered through the tough financial times, he graduated from South Williamsport Area Junior/Senior High School. He was then drafted into the US Army. After serving his country, he began a life here in the United States where he started a family and began his career as a production manager which eventually led to his retirement. His “way with words,” “long-winded” conversations and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him.
Aside from his wife, son, daughter and daughter in law, Donald leaves behind seven grandchildren, Alissa, Dominic, Spencer, Bryn, Blake, Taryn and Colton. The family has planned a private ceremony that will include immediate family. A memorial church service will be held Tuesday, November 9th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Montoursville PA for members of the public who wish to attend.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home.
