Dorothy “Dot” F. Heinbach, 97, of South Williamsport died Nov. 9 at the Williamsport Home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Hughesville, a daughter of the late Aerio and Cora (Clark) Fox.
Dot retired from Bell Telephone where she was union supervisor. She was a member of Bell Pioneers, was an avid sports fan, and her favorite trip was in 2017 to the Rose Bowl Parade and Rose Bowl with her family. Her true love was spending time at the homestead known as the cabin and she loved her retirement years with her husband in Vero Beach, Fla.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at the Williamsport Home for their comfort and care for Dot and her family during the past year and a half.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Jack E. Heinbach; daughter, Sandra Lee; and five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are sons, Robert C. (Christine) Heinbach of South Williamsport and Stephen D. (Margaret) Heinbach of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Rita (Paul) Francis of Loyalsock Township; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville with Rev. Theodore L. Cockley officiating. Burial will follow in Picture Rocks Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
