Elaine Horvath, 93, formally of Montoursville, died on April 14, 2021 at Elmcroft of Loyalsock.
She was born on May 2, 1927, in Philipsburg, daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Luke) Harris.
Elaine worked at Sears and was a member of the Sears Retirees. She was also a member of New Covenant United Church of Christ, Montoursville Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron. Elaine was a charter member of the Montoursville Lioness Club, the Montoursville Garden Club, and a past member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was active with the S. Williamsport Senior Citizens and organized bus trips for them. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, ceramics, attending Penn State Football, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert C. Horvath and grandson, Bryan Barbier.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra L. (Richard) Barbier, of Montoursville; and Bettyann (William) Milliron, of Milroy; four grandkids, Bethany (Daniel) Hamm, Mindy (Jason) Retherford, Mark (Shannon) Barbier, and Kyle (Fiancé Erin) Milliron; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 16, 2021, 11:30 a.m. in Montoursville Cemetery with Rev. Bradley A. Walmer officiating.
A walk-through viewing will be held on Friday, 10-11:00 a.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754.
Following Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
