Eleanor Arlene Bartley Waltz of Cogan Station peacefully entered heaven on May 22, 2022, surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Quiggleville to parents Rosie M. Russ Bartley and Robert D. Bartley and had just celebrated her 96th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years Joseph R. Waltz, her brother Bruce E. Bartley, and son-in-law Glenn F. Myers.
Eleanor had a love of life, the Lord, and was dedicated to her family. She graduated from Hepburn Township High School in 1941 and worked from the founding of the family C.H. She could alter anything and was Flair’s go-to seamstress for many years. She was a fabulous cook and was known for her signature pies. She loved to read, garden, travel, and had an affinity for solving crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her five daughters; Dawn Elaine Myers, JoAnn Billie Waltz, Camella Jane Converse (Pastor Paul), Melody Faith Sandrin (Steven), Lorraine Faye Waltz (David Folmar); nine grandchildren: Michael Myers (Patricia), Cheryl Hales (Mike), Matthew Myers, Bryan Waltz (Tricia), Paul Converse (Jeanne), Krista Vita (Jema), Morgan Miller (Jaime), Augustus Waltz-Folmar and her namesake Eleanor Waltz-Folmar.
