Jack W. Freezer, 85, of Montoursville, passed away on November 13, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on October 24, 1936 in Loyalsock Township, son of the late Kathryn Freezer. He was raised by his grandparents, Clyde and Cora Freezer.
Jack retired as a Correctional Officer from the Lycoming County Prison System. He was a Navy Veteran, and he also enjoyed walking his dog, Amber Rose who survives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents; and brother, Donald Balkema.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Darlene “Dolly” Robson; sons, James Freezer of Trout Run, and Michael (Brenda) Freezer of Muncy; sisters, Barbara Cavanaugh of Muskegon, Michigan, and Michelle Pike of Florida; and two granddaughters, Sarah and Hannah.
There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville with Rev. Marie E. Lewis officiating. A burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. There will be Military Honors accorded by Lycoming County Korean War Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
