James F. Sterner, 91, of Montoursville, died on February 2, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on February 3, 1929, in Pennsdale, son of Dewey and Sarah (Gatz) Sterner.
James worked at Van Campen Motors, was a member of the NRA, enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his cabin and being with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Verna B. Hauck; brother, Frank who was killed in WWII; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon.
Surviving is a son, Brian K. Sterner, of Pennsdale; daughter, Carmen (Wayne) Watkins, of Brookville, OH.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
There will be a walk-through viewing on Friday, February 5, 2021, 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754.
Following Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery.
