Jean M. Mirto, 89, of Montoursville, passed away on April 4, 2020, at Manor Care Health Services North.
She was born on November 17, 1930, in Marburg, Manheim Township, York County, PA (now Lake Marburg), the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Emma (Trone) Markle.
Jean was a wonderful homemaker and gardener as well as an avid bowler. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and worked for Weis Markets/Scots in later life. She took numerous trips with her husband, Jack to explore the western states and to visit family across the country. She was a much-loved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond L. Schroll; her husband, Jack A. Mirto; a son, David L. Mirto, and was the last of seven siblings.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery A. Schroll, of Montoursville; two daughters, Donna Mirto, of Montoursville, Linda J. (Kelly) McHenry, of Minnetonka, MN; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
