John R. Caldwell, Jr., 84, of Muncy, died on February 1, 2021, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
He was born on January 17, 1937, in Williamsport, son of John R. and Ida (Soloman) Caldwell.
John worked at the former Stroehman’s Bakery, was a Vietnam Army veteran, a life member of Eldred Township Fire Company and a member of the Montoursville Fire Company, he enjoyed making candy, collecting miniature fire trucks, and building model air planes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter, Toni.
Surviving is a son, John R. (Shelia) Caldwell III, of Trout Run; three daughters, Wendy (Brian) Cochran, of Williamsport; Candy (Tom) Fulger, of Muncy; and Cammie (David) Steele, of Trout Run; four sisters, Florence Barr, of Florida; Charlotte Shultz, of S. Williamsport; Kate Smith, of S. Williamsport; and Laura (Robert) Gilson, of S. Williamsport; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A life celebration will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
