Julius C. “Chris” Franquet, 81, of Montoursville died February 17, 2021 at The Gatehouse.

He was born March 24, 1939 in Williamsport, a son of the late Paul A., I and Theone B. Franquet.

Chris was an electronic technician for the U.S. Government. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a member of the National American Legion, a master mason of Sharon Lodge, and a member of Knights Templar.  He loved hunting and was the last remaining founding...

He was born March 24, 1939 in Williamsport, a son of the late Paul A., I and Theone B. Franquet.

Chris was an electronic technician for the U.S. Government. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a member of the National American Legion, a master mason of Sharon Lodge, and a member of Knights Templar.  He loved hunting and was the last remaining founding member of the reorganized East End Hunting & Fishing Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul A. Franquet II and two sisters, Bertina Franquet Welshans and Winfred Franquet.

Surviving is his wife of 59 years, the former Marie R. Hughes; two sons, Charles C. (Lisa) Franquet, of Shippensburg and Julius C. Franquet Jr., of Elmira; two grandchildren, Amanda and Joshua; and a niece, Brenda Ramsey.

Funeral and burial will be held in Montoursville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
