Lois Peters Wentzler, 91, of Pennsdale, died January 6, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born January 17, 1928, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lucinda (Heverly) Peters.
Lois and her husband of 57 years, the late Joseph E. Wentzler, were co-owners of Wentzlers Fruit Farms. She was a graduate of Penn State University earning a Master’s in Animal Husbandry. She enjoyed raising horses and dogs. She was a member of Pennsdale United Methodist Church and the state horticulture association. She was an avid bridge player, and a member of the Williamsport Bridge Club. She enjoyed tennis, bowling, and reading. She and her husband traveled extensively and she had a great love of family.
Surviving are two sons, J. Edwin (Sally) Wentzler, of Montoursville and Clarence R. (Kathy) Wentzler, of Muncy; a daughter, Karen W. (Art) Woolever, of Montoursville; a sister, Vera Peters, of Montoursville; six grandchildren, Dustin, Hunter (Kathleen), Andrew, and Riley (fiancé, Felicia) Wentzler, and Tyler (Tiffini) and Caleb (Liz) Woolever; and five great-grandchildren, Daven, Ellis, Leland, Colton, and Kinley.
Funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
