Lorraine F. Roller, 84, of Loyalsock Township, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at her residence on February 5, 2021.
She was born on July 10, 1936, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rita (Williamson) Folmar.
Lorraine was a member of Faxon Kenmar United Methodist Church, and a graduate of both Williamsport High School in 1954 and Williamsport School of Nursing. She was an R.N. at the former Williamsport Hospital, a member of Loyalsock Lioness Club, a life member of Blooming Grove Historical Society, and a member of the WHS Class of “54” Reunion Committee. Lorraine was a loyal volunteer with the American Rescue Workers for over 30 years. She and her husband also escorted groups for AAA, including Penn State tailgates.
Lorraine enjoyed attending Penn State football as well as mens and ladies basketball games with her husband and friends. She especially enjoyed setting up personal tailgates for football games, which took place for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Folmar.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Mark A. Roller; a son, Mark Jr. (Melissa) Roller, of Maryland; two daughters, Karen Roller, of Texas; and Kim (Peter) Barr, of Michigan; a brother, Jack (Alice) Folmar, of Lebanon; 7 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 2:30 p.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754 with Pastor Sam Astin officiating.
There will be a walk-through viewing on Friday, 1-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In accordance to Pennsylvania Department of Health Guidelines, indoor gathering restrictions will be followed including masks and social distancing.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
A life celebration will be announced at a later date for Spring 2021.
The Roller family wishes to thank hospice and all of Lorraine’s many caregivers. Special thanks to Judy, Melissa, and Stacy- who helped Lorraine steadily for past years- as well as Christa, Anne, and Missy.
