Margaret “Peggy” I. Ellmaker, 99, of Montoursville, passed away on July 15, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
She was born February 4, 1921, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Barbara Knapik.
Peggy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. She loved to knit, reading and watching tv.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack W. Ellmaker; son-in-law, Larry Feist; and was the last of eight brothers and sisters, Andy, Steve, John, Joe, Ann, Olga, Julia, and Marian.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. Nau, of Montoursville, Kathryn J. Feist, of Rochester, NY; four grandchildren, Thomas J. (Rachael) Nau, Kristen L. (Michael) Callahan, Aimee K. Feist, David W. Feist; and five great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Olivia, Harper, Alanah, Maura; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 20, 2020, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut Street, Montoursville, with Rev. Michael S. McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jack W. Ellmaker Memorial Fund High School Scholarship c/o Barbara Nau, 124 Sunset Drive, Montoursville, PA 17754.
