Marjorie Loene (Rogers) Withers passed from this world on January 6, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna.
She was born November 26, 1953, to the late Clyde C. and Betty M. (Miller) Rogers, and was raised on the 800 block of Second Street, in Williamsport. She often said she grew up in the best of times with wonderful friends, neighbors, and many fond memories.
Marge graduated from Williamsport Area High School, in 1971, and from Williamsport Area Community College (now Pennsylvania College of Technology), in 1973. In August 1973, she began a 40 year career working at the college in different positions in the Purchasing, Secondary Vocational Programs, and Financial Operations offices.
On August 25, 1979, Marge married Thomas M. Withers and they have shared 40 years as life partners and best friends. She has two sons, Todd M. Withers, of Swoyersville and Shane T. (Priscilla) Withers, of Williamsport. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Alexa, Rion, Logan, Ava, and Brynn Withers, a great-grandson, Aceton, and a great-granddaughter, Amaura. She adored these children and every moment she shared with them.
Marge is also survived by a brother, Darrel E. (Ginny) Rogers, of Montoursville, a sister-in-law, Cynthia A. Rogers, of Fairfield and a brother-in-law, Stephen E. Wolf, of Williamsport. She had a number of nieces and nephews whom she held dear in her heart.
Her oldest brother, Clyde C. “Bud” Rogers, and sister, Janet E. Wolf, predeceased her.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
