Richard “Dick” A. Reis, 85, of Montoursville, went to his Lord March 4, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna.
He was born June 13, 1934, in South Williamsport, a son of the late Charles, Sr and Lurleen Reis.
Dick graduated in 1952 from South Williamsport. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and then the U.S. Air Force Active Reserve for six years as a jet mechanic. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 932, a life member of American Legion Post 104, and a life member of the Muncy VFW Post 3428.
Dick enjoyed picture taking, camping, wood working, dancing, and coin collecting. He retired from UPS after 30 years, and had delivered Meals on Wheels for the past 20 years.
Surviving are two sons, Richard, Jr, of Williamsport and Shawn, of Montoursville; two daughters, Denise, of Florida and Lisa, of Montoursville; six granddaughters, two grandsons, three great-grandsons, and a great-granddaughter.
Preceding him in death was a son, Dennis; and two brothers, Charles, Jr and Donald.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with Rev. John J. Victoria officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Muncy Legion. Family and friends will be received from 10 – 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
