Ronald F. Paulhamus

July 11, 1952 ~ October 27, 2020 (age 68)

Obituary

On Tuesday, October 27th, Ronald F. Paulhamus went to be with our Lord.  He passed away peacefully at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, following weeks of complications from a heart attack.  He was the President and CEO of Paulhamus Litho, Inc.

Son of Robert C. and Bettie (Hoover) Paulhamus, he was born on July 11, 1952, in Williamsport, PA.  After graduating from Montoursville Area High School in 1970, he went on to graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1972, where he received his Associate's Degree in Applied Science - Printing.  He married the love of his life Virginia "Ginger" Louise Hamm on May 14, 1976.

Ron was a very active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Montoursville, where he taught CCD, RCIA, and, for over 30 years, Pre-Baptism classes with his wife.  He was also a Eucharistic Minister for over 36 years.

As a founding member of the North Central Mustang Club in 1989, Ron was an avid collector of antique Ford Mustangs.  He was a member of the Shelby American Automobile Club and a very proud member of the Train Collectors Association since 1977.  He loved to travel, especially to Disney World, to attend Jimmy Buffett concerts, and to cuddle with his cats and dog.  Other travel destinations included historical locations, amusement parks, and science museums and attractions.  He especially loved riding rollercoasters!  Out of his love for science and sense of charity, he became an organ donor and will be donating several organs to help others in need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ross William (fiancée Renate Grzelaczyk) and Mark Aaron, his sister Carol (Brian) Aldinger, and his two brothers Robert W. (Karen) and Thomas M. Paulhamus, all of Montoursville, PA.  Special family members include his sister-in-law Melissa McNemar and her children Emma, Sara, and Joseph.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Ron is predeceased by his parents.

Friends and family will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St, Montoursville, PA.  Following the viewing, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 100 Walnut St, Montoursville, PA.  Officiating the Catholic Mass will be Father Michael McCormick.  Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery and everyone is asked to drive themselves there.  For everyone's safety, we ask that all attendees adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making monetary contributions to Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 800 Mulberry St, Montoursville, PA, or the Atrial Fibrillation Association - United States of America, PO Box 5507, Hilton Head Island, SC, 29938 (heartrhythmalliance.org).

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
