Obituary

Samuel E. Rogers, 83, of Williamsport, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2022, at his residence.

He was born September 13, 1938, in Williamsport, son of the late Samuel and Catherine (McMahon) Rogers.

Sam was employed at Staiman Bros. for 52 years until he retired in 2017. He had coached for Maynard Little League for several years. He was also president of Pop Warner Football for two years.  

He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Dylan Bower; and son-in-law, Robert Bower.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. (Toner) Rogers, who was married at the Tabernacle Baptist Church on June 20th, 1964, they would have been married for 57 years; daughter, Samantha Bower of Watsontown; three sons, Mark (Tressa) Rogers, Matthew Rogers, and Michael Rogers all of Williamsport; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Church of the Nazarene, 3200 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 with Pastor Louis Gotti officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
