Violet J. Sacavage, 92, formerly from Montoursville, PA went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2020 while under hospice care for COVID-19 in Orlando, FL.
She was born in Roaring Creek Township in Columbia County, PA on October 31, 1928.
A devoted, compassionate, sweet wife, mother and homemaker; Violet was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Over the years she baked hundreds of apple pies, pumpkin rolls and cookies for her family. She also loved to garden and harvest fresh vegetables for sharing with neighbors. The love of gardening comes from her farming childhood and owning farms with Leonard, her husband.
Violet had an unwavering faith in God which gave her solace. She said the rosary many times a day for each of her children. She was a kind soul who never said a cross word about anyone. She was always there to listen and welcome you into her home.
Violet was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Leonard Sacavage. She was also predeceased by five brothers: Charles, Joseph, Eddie, Albert and William Tomcavage, and one sister, Nellie Sacavage. Violet is survived by her four children: David (Janet) Sacavage of Yardley, PA; Roy (Karen) Sacavage of Harleysville, PA; Bruce (Claudia) Sacavage of Orlando, FL and June S. (Peter) Gordon of Corning, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Stephen Sacavage, Bradley Sacavage, Angela (Sacavage) Yach, Susan Sacavage, Quin (Acciani) Fasulo, Alex Acciani, Kathryn Kenney, Ryan Kenney and Samuel Sacavage. She had four great-grandchildren; Jeffrey Sacavage, Peter Sacavage, Robbie Yach and Taylor Yach.
Her son, Bruce and his wife, Claudia, lovingly cared for Violet in Orlando, Florida before Violet moved to Serenades Memory Care Facility in Orange County, Florida. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Violet their greatest gratitude.
